This Is Why Excuses STINK!

Whoosh it’s been a while! and you know its been a while when you can’t remember the last time you wrote a blog post. More so when some of your readers hint at the fact that its been a while, without telling you outright that it REALLY HAS BEEN A WHILE. So here comes my excuses. And boy do I have some good ones! I can sit here and write a few that are true, kinda true, sorta kinda true… But honestly I don’t think it would be as fulfilling in the end. No they are not lies :), but it really wont change anything. Whether a lie or truth, excuses are just what they are. unnamed

“I attribute my success to this – I never gave or took any excuse” – Florence Nightingale

I came across this quote and loved it instantly because it speaks highly of a woman who worked hard for what she achieved. And that’s what a lot of us are trying to do, but soon you become fully aware that you have a lot more things going on (Excuse 1). Example, do you realize that when you get excited about something and you start on it all of a sudden you don’t have time for any other ‘good thing’ (Excuse 2) that you begin to push a lot of other good important stuff away?

Or that you work hard and focus on one thing and get tired (Excuse 3) and make later dates to get your other stuff done, but then its OK because at least you’re doing ‘something’ (Excuse 4)… RAMBLING! Told you, not as fulfilling hahah.

The truth of the matter is life happens everyday, every hour, every minute. If we keep making excuses it becomes a habit and a lot of things don’t get done. Thus why excuses stink! Even if it seems credible, it is just what it is, an excuse – an explanation to justify our faults.

We have to learn to delete that word from our LIVES. It’s so hard though, I know. However that’s a great way to measure how well we’re doing with something. If you keep on going regardless of whatever ‘excuses’ are going on in your life, you get a lot more out of what you’re doing. Whether or not we refuse to accept our excuses determines how much we get done.

Personal shout out to all my readers! Good looking out! :)
